1. Introduction
Posifier ("we", "us", or "our") is a point-of-sale (POS) platform for restaurants and retail businesses. Posifier is a brand operated by Orbitpath Techno Systems Pvt Ltd ("Orbitpath").
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Posifier Android mobile application, the Posifier admin web portal, and the Posifier marketing website at posifier.com (collectively, the "Services"), how we use that information, and the choices you have.
By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Services, and limited technical information needed to operate the app securely.
- Account and profile information: name, email address, mobile phone number, login credentials, and role (owner, manager, or staff).
- Business information: business or restaurant name, address, tax identifiers (such as GSTIN where applicable), and configuration settings you enter in the admin portal or app.
- Operational and transaction data: orders, menu items, payments, discounts, expenses, inventory records, day summaries, reports, and related business records created while using Posifier.
- Lead and inquiry information: when you request access or contact us, we may collect your name, email, phone number, business name, address, and any message you submit through our website or mobile app forms.
- Customer receipt data: if you choose to send receipts via WhatsApp or similar channels, we process the customer phone number and receipt details you provide for that purpose.
- Device and technical data: device type, operating system version, app version, IP address, and diagnostic logs needed to maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Posifier POS platform and related features.
- Authenticate users and enforce role-based access controls.
- Process orders, payments, expenses, inventory, and reporting for your business.
- Respond to support requests, onboarding inquiries, and account-related communications.
- Send service-related notices, such as security alerts or important product updates.
- Improve reliability, performance, and usability of our Services.
- Comply with applicable legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
4. App Permissions
The Posifier Android app may request the following permissions:
- Internet access: required to sync orders, settings, and reports with our secure cloud backend.
- Bluetooth permissions: used only to connect to supported receipt printers. On Android 12 and above, Bluetooth permissions are not used to determine your location. On older Android versions, location permission may be requested solely to discover nearby Bluetooth printers and is not used for location tracking.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers who help us host infrastructure, deliver email or messaging, or support operations, under contractual obligations to protect your data.
- When you direct us to share information, such as sending a receipt to a customer via WhatsApp.
- With your authorization or at your direction, including when multiple users access the same business account under your tenant.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, Orbitpath, or others.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. Business transaction records may be retained to support reporting, tax compliance, and legitimate business purposes.
You may request deletion of your account or personal data at any time by emailing contact@optspl.com. Please include the email address or mobile number associated with your account so we can verify your request. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business needs such as fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or backup integrity.
7. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted communication with our servers and access controls based on user roles.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or update personal information associated with your account.
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and operational requirements.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Export business data available through in-app reports and export features.

9. Children's Privacy
Posifier is a business application intended for use by restaurant and retail operators and their authorized staff. Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located in India or other countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of information to locations that may have different data protection laws than your country, subject to appropriate safeguards where required.
11. Third-Party Services
Our Services may link to or integrate with third-party services (for example, WhatsApp for receipt delivery). Your use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties outside our control.
We do not use third-party advertising networks or sell data for targeted advertising within the Posifier mobile app.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the app, website, or email.
Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective means you accept the revised policy.
